Whittet Books Online

Whittet Books was founded in 1976; having published in various other fields, it started to specialise in natural history and animal books in the 1980s. HEDGEHOGS by Pat Morris was published in 1983 to great critical acclaim, and it set a standard for the rest of the British Natural History Series which followed. These books aim to present up-to-date information about British species in approachable fashion, and are written by the expert in that subject.

In 1998 POULTRY FOR ANYONE by Victoria Roberts was published and was the flagship for a new line in poultry books.

Other interests are native pony breeds, including SHETLAND PONIES, NEW FOREST PONIES and DALES PONIES and gardening books, including APPLES and TOMATOES.

Previously published authors include John Seymour, Chris Mead, Ken Lo, Edwin Smith, Olive Cook.
